SO Mike and I went to SM San Lazaro to check out their 3-day sale. We arrived there at 11 a.m. this morning since we're thinking of "taking advantage" of the additional 10% off (on top of all discounts) for Advantage Card holders who do their shopping from 10am to 12nn.

Here's what we bought:

1. washable diapers
2. 1 set of small pillows
3. 2 pcs receiving blanket
4. 6 pcs of baru-baruan
5. 1 tiny feeding bottle
6. 1 pc bottle cleaning brush
7. 1 feeding bottle tong (weird purchase)
8. 1 aspirator
9. 2 pairs of mittens
10. a pair of booties
11. bigkis
12. powdered milk container
13. Breast Pump

We got everything at less 20% (except for the Breast Pump which we got for only P450, down from the original P650 selling price). The total bill? P2,120.17. To think that we forgot to buy salawal pa ha!

But anyway, okay pa rin. Enjoy naman palang mamili ng gamit ng baby, nakaka-excite kasi. And everything looks so cute. We didn't dare buy the branded ones, though, such as Chicco, Pigeon, Avent, or Playtex. Hanggang Baby Company lang at Disney. Hindi rin muna kami tumodo sa pagbili since 1) we're having a Baby Shower soon (at baka dumoble ang gifts); at 2) I really don't know what kind of feeding bottle to buy for Maru. I'd love to buy him anti-colic, anti-gas tsupons and bottles but hey, sabi ng isang nanay na kakilala ko, paano kung hindi naman gamitin ng baby mo dahil ayaw nya ng weird na tsupon.

Nakakatawa naman itong si Mike dahil ang kinaka-excite niyang bilhin kanina eh 'yung inflatable swimming pool na pam-baby. As in excited siya ha. Although we opted not to buy it (kasi hindi kasama sa essentials), gusto pa rin niya 'yun para kay Maru. Sabi ko it's okay kasi mga 6 months na siya bago niya gamitin 'yun, magkakaroon naman siguro ng sale ulit ang SM within the next seven months.

Nakakatuwa ang honesty ng isang saleslady na bantay ng "Hospital's Choice" brand of baby products. Medyo mahalia kasi ang products nila. Tulad ng aspirator nila na P99, eh P34 lang 'yung aspirator na pinili ko.

Me: "Anong pagkakaiba nitong aspirators na ito?"
Saleslady: "Branded po kasi ito eh. 'Yan hindi."

True nga naman.

While me and my bulging belly are checking out the onesies section, tinanong ako ng saleslady: "Ma'm, pang-ilang buwan na po?"

Me (confused): "Umm...nasa loob pa siya ng tiyan?"
